Boat Rental FAQ
1. How old do I have to be to rent a pontoon boat?
To rent a boat, you must be at least 25 years old and possess a valid driver's license. If you were born after January 1 1984 Louisiana law requires you obtain your boating safety certificate.
2. How many people can the pontoon boat accommodate?
Our boats can typically accommodate between 8-12 people, depending on the size and model. Please check the boat specifications for precise passenger capacity.
3. Do I need a boating license or prior boating experience to rent a boat?
In most cases, a boating license is not required for boat rentals. We recommend taking a Louisiana boater safety course prior to operating any vessel. We provide a brief orientation and safety instructions before you embark on your rental.
4. Can I bring my own food and drinks on the boat?
Yes, you are welcome to bring your own food and drinks on the boat.
5. Are life jackets provided?
Yes, we provide life jackets for all passengers on board. If you have small children we recommend you obtain life jackets for them prior to rental for best fit. Louisiana law requires that all children age 16 and younger wear a U.S. Coast Guard-approved Type I, II, or III PFD while underway on a vessel less than 26 feet long.
